ABOUT ROOF UNIT

Roof Unit is located on the top floor of a retired soap factory in East London. It was purpose built from the ground up to become a homely but productive space for Photography practice. Although each resident photographer has his or her own unique style and direction we all share a common goal of pushing the boundaries and quality of our practice.

Nine photographers currently occupy desks in the main workspace which affords rooftop views to Canary Wharf. Kitchen, meeting area, editing and Post-Production facilities are available. The photographers also share an adjoining white studio space which is available for private and commercial hire. Roof Unit is unique due to its friendly and supportive atmosphere.

This year we welcome Rhubarb-Rhubarb and now the collective includes moving image makers. Browse the links from the home page to see our personal pages.
